I am a 36 year old, GWM, professional actor, and occasional theater director, and for a living, as with most artists, I'm the proverbial 'jack-of-all-trades'. I am a huge film and music fan, with fairly specific tastes. In film, I prefer intelligence, romance, comedy, and good social commentary. I don't have much stomach for the violence and simple 'action' of today's Hollywood. I enjoy films that are quirky and meaty. These are generally the type of films that I will write reviews for. I usually write in the 'love it' category because I tend to choose films carefully, and if something ends up in the 'hate it' file, there's good reason. When it comes to music, I'm a fan of jazz, big band, and swing. I really love a smooth female vocalist that can evoke a romantic mood...so if you're looking for such music, read about my favorites in the music reviews. Aside from that, I love traveling, when the artist's budget allows, I love hiking, bicycling, and quality time with truly good people. I have no time or energy for shallow 'happy peppy trendy people' who want to party, party, party...life's too short.
