I'm a 22 year old college student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, that's the big one with the Cornhuskers. I grew up in Evanston, Illinois, just north of Chicago. I'm a broadcasting major and have a couple radio shows, one of which is called Hip-Hop 101, hence the name.
My other interests include baseball, travelling and politics.
If you take a look at my web of trust, you will notice it is pretty small. That's not because I don't read other opinions, it is because I only trust people whose opinions I really trust (hmm, funny how that works). I don't agree with all the opinions of the people I trust, but they are well thought out. My favorite writer on the web is FACTOTUM, check his stuff out. We need more people who think like him.
As for my rating system...I don't have anything written in stone. My ratings aren't always consistent with everyone else's. I like stuff that is short and to the point. A lot of people look at short opinions as "not enough effort." I think they're great if I get all the info I need. At the same time I do appreciate someone who goes in depth on one narrow subject. I give out mostly HRs and Rs, but the SRs and NRs come out when people don't know what they are talking about or clearly put zero effort into the opinion.
Finally, as far as my opinions go, well they need a little work, but I am getting better. My personal favorites are my very first epinion "Three Feet High and Classic", my review of taking the Grayhound "Worst Ride Ever" and more recently "George W. is Brainwashing us.". Check those out if you get the chance and leave some comments, let me know what you think.
