The news in brief:
Name: Karene
Age: 24
Location: Brisbane, Australia
Likes: red wine, writing, music, films, good food, anything that makes me laugh
Dislikes: white wine, moodiness, jersey caramels (the devil's food)
Favourite film: Last of the Mohicans
Favourite television shows: Red Dwarf, The Simpsons
Favourite music: classical; movie scores
Distinguished achievements:
* Correctly guessed the amount of jelly beans in the jar in the Jelly Bean Competition in Grade 6, aged 12
* Won the Spellathon - Grade 2 - C-0-U-C-H
* Was able to refrain from vomiting in the "Drink Concoction" competition aged 8 - where the most disgusting drinks imaginable were created and chugged down, where dreams where made and broken... and I drank a combination of cordial, tomato sauce, vegemite, milk, juice, oregano, and peanut butter
* Won the Book competition in grade seven (aged 13) with a story I'd written about a pirate and treasure - garrrr, matey!
* Recently went out drinking and partying for fourteen days in a row - something I never wish to repeat again.
I love writing and in my spare time I've been writing a novel, which - true to the form of all wannabe novelists - seems like it will never be completed. I'm at a complete loss as to why my picture won't appear in the user box, but if you want to check me out a picture can be found at http://www.geocities.com/tennis_beatnik/me.jpg
This is a link from my webpage which is cruddy in the extreme, so I haven't bothered listing it in my homepage criteria box. Epinions has got to be one of the most interesting sites out there, what with the epinions of some great writers, especially fellow-Dwarfers like Kris_Kochanski and dave-lister. Check them out.
And good day to you, Sir!
