I've spent too many years programming computers. I've written for Unix, MS-DOS and the Macintosh in BASIC, Pascal, C, Perl, PHP and a variety of database systems and shell languages including the basic Unix shell and AppleScript.
I've also worked a great deal supporting Macintoshes (I've always considered supporting Windows computers too much like hard work). I was also Associate Editor of 'Australian Macworld' where I edited and wrote on a variety of technical subjects.
I write, mostly on technical subjects but on occasion some fairly bad fiction. I also study, not often enough but Literature and Linguistics are my passions there.
I live in Sydney, Australia with an indeterminate number of people and a variable number of cats.
You can find more of my opinions (and copies of my epinions) on my website. Oh, you can also read some of my bad fiction, but I'd only give it two stars at most.
you can read more of my reviews on my site Tony's Book Spot.
