For 12mo I've enjoyed Epinions, and now I want to do my part.

About hyvonen
|
I'm currently a grad student in IL, studying electrical engineering. I'm very much into home theater, and I'll have comments about those items - however, I'll also comment on other things I've been using.
I didn't know there is some monetary rewards involved in this; I just noticed it while creating this profile. The
reason I'm here is that I've had several good experiences
with the help of this website, and I want to help you guys
out there with my experiences.
I don't consider myself an expert of any fields of commercial items - I'm not a high-end HIFI guru, a
computer genius, a home theater purist, a champion
home maker, or anything like that. I usually tend
to buy the "best stuff with available budget", so
my stuff somewhat cheap mid-quality things. If
you're into high-end of anything, don't listen to me.
Oh, and if you have any comments or opinions about my
reviews, please let me know.
One more comment: I used to buy stuff from Ebay, as
I thought the items were cheap. Accidentally (through
Vividence evaluation), I got introduced to MySimon.com,
and ever since I've been using Ebay _only_ for rare and
difficult-to-get-your-hands-on stuff. Frankly, I think
it's much safer to buy your stuff from a 'webstore' than
Ebay - I've been screwed enough buy ebay sellers, and the
prices are the same (if not cheaper) on webstores. Another
good place to buy stuff is Yahoo Shopping - lots of small
aspiring companies, selling stuff cheap trying to make it.
Comment about DVDs: DVDPriceSearch engine has been good
to me for ages - especially their coupons section used to
be my favorite. But now I've realized that companies don't
give out good coupons anymore. These days my #1 choice for
DVD purchase is Buy.com. Why? A couple of weeks ago I
accidentally ordered Moulin Rouge from both Buy.com and
Express.com (don't ask me why) - both were pre-ordered.
The one from Buy.com arrived 5 days before the one from
Express.com, and was also cheaper. Express used to be
'express' (good experiences in the past, blinding fast
delivery abroad), but at least in U.S. my choice would be
Buy.com.
Anyway, enough of this. Enjoy the reviews.
