About IBC
I was born and raised on a farm in York, PA. Strange town really...it has a very urban section, where I went to school, but a 5 minute drive brings you to the countryside, where I lived. It's not a bad town. In fact, it is a great place to raise children until about the age of 13 when they hit junior high. Then they start to get pretty bored with the lack of social options.

"So like, uh, wanna go to the movies or hang at the mall? OK, can your mom drive us?"

High school isn't much better.

"So like, uh, wanna go to the movies or hang at the Denny's? OK, can your sister lend you her car?"

I went to a very public high school which has apparently become much more public since I graduated...kids these days...
I am a big proponet of public schools. Although it admittedly didn't prepare me academically for college as well as a private school would have, it did prepare me very well for the real world. I'm a big fan of people skills over book knowledge.

I went to a boys camp in Vermont for 5 years where I learned to kayak. It was very intense training and I eventually became quite good. I worked as a kayak instructor for an outdoor outfitting company when I was 15 and taught until I was 17. For some reason people didn't seem to have much confidence in a 15 year-old when trapped upside down and under water...oh ye of little faith!

Music is a passion of mine. I grew up listening to anything from Led Zeppelin to Uriah Heep to Al Green to the Eurythmics and everything in between. Big props to Pops for that.

I have been playing guitar since I was 11 and writing music for the last 5 years. I was lead singer/rhythm guitar in a band when I was 18. I still write and record music but I am a bit fed up with the whole "band" thing. I just can't seem to find people who 1) have the exact same musical taste and 2) I like. Call me picky.

I have played sports since I was old enough to walk. Soccer, Basketball, Track, Football, Volleyball.
In high school I focused on football, basketball and track. I was recruited for track after winning the PA State Championship in the 110m high hurdles. I went on to run in college but, after 2 broken feet and 1 hardware installation, I gave that up. Eventually I picked up Volleyball and fell in love.

I went to Dartmouth College where I majored in Psychology and minored in Music. I had the time of my life and, although the administration bites the big one, I loved every minute I spent there.

I decided to move to San Francisco (not having a job) because I had heard nothing but wonderful things about the city. It was the right decision. After working for a law firm for 4 months I got an offer at Epinions where I managed the Arts & Entertainment categories until January 31. Currently enjoying my unemployment check.
