I was born at a very early age to parents who understood the value of learning a trade. That is, they had me learning how to make a living by the age of eight. By sixteen I had decided there must be a better way, so after graduating high school I joined a band and worked as a professional musician for ten years. I tired of the road life and settled down to go to college, earning degrees in liberal arts, english literature and mathmatics. In the economic climate of the eighties, my degrees got me right into sales, where I stayed through four states and two children, and a part-time career as a freelance writer. Two years ago, after a stint with an internet marketing firm, I apprenticed myself to a successful ColdFusion developer and tech author who taught me the trade and, eventually, made me a partner. I now spend forty hours a week coding CF applications in my nightgown while listening to Coast to Coast AM and wondering what happened to that thing called "The Outdoors." Ahh, life is GOOD when you're forty, have friends and lots of coffee!
