Following a career as an Air Force pilot, which included combat missions in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, McGill earned an M.F.A. in Creative Writing and taught Writing and English at Tucson High School. His first novel, Immaculate in Black, published by St. Martin's Press under the Thomas Dunne imprint, is once again available for the Amazon Kindle--along with other unpublished novels and short story collections, including "Polls Don't Lie," recipient of a Derringer award in the flash mystery category for the year 2000. His more recently published, Black Tuesday Over Namsi, A True History of the Epic Air Battle of the Korean War, has received excellent reader reviews and can be accessed through his web site. The hardcover edition is scheduled for publication by Helion Books in 2012, followed by Jet Age Man SAC B-47 and B-52 Operations in the Early Cold War.
