I'm relatively new to Epinions, and so far I love it! An insanely busy life has thus far prevented me from doing much but write opinions, but I'm in the process of starting to read the opinions of those who have taken the time to read and rate mine. Many thanks to those who have already HR'd me and left thoughtful and encouraging comments.
Now that I've explored Epinions a bit, I have a good sense of how I'm going to rate. Like many others on this site, I don't think HR's should be handed out like candy. I have high writing standards and I expect the same from others. I'm not talking perfect grammar and endless description -- I taught college-level writing for three years, and believe me, if I were that picky I'd rarely have given out an "A"! But a HR should be earned through careful, thought-out writing and reviewing.
I'm not very computer-literate, which means I have no idea how to put my picture and other cool stuff on my profile, but I'm learning! If anyone has any helpful suggestions please pass them on.
