I am a man of utility.
I'm a part time Sunday School Teacher and a full time student at my state's university. Which means, I am a person thats always strapped for cash. This doesn't mean that I don't like shopping, quite the contrary. I like shopping, but I inherited something from my dad...the need to just browse. My dad's side of the family are all browsers. We browse, thats what we do.
So, when I make a purchase I take into account how much I can spend...and trust me, its not a lot. When I make a purchase, I go through, what my friends call, excessive yet comprehensive reviews on the particular product I am looking to purchase.
I start digging for information, conducting research to find out exactly what I'm getting, how much it should be, and shuffle through all the various reviews conducted on the product; such as those published by consumer reports, this website, etc. To buy even a simple clock, it takes weeks just for me to make up my mind which one is a "good" clock. I cover all my bases.
My mother was a business woman and she taught me to never make a purchase unless you are getting the best for your money. I've gathered a lot of experience and hopefully you will find them useful. I promise to remain honest while objective when I am sharing my experience.
Well, in conclusion...Some tips I can impart here? Well, from experience I can tell you to go look at a product's website with a completely objective purpose. The website will always flower everything, so when you read..."State of the Art", "Stupendous this...", "Spectacular that....", or "More refined than ever...", don't fall for it. Look for specifications, functions, what it comes with, and what the estimated price is. Look for the facts, avoid being ensnared in their advertising.
Happy Shopping everyone! ^_^
