I hold a degree in art from Texas Lutheran University and am an ex-military brat. I currently co-own an online special occasion, prom & pageant boutique plus I co-direct a regional beauty/scholarship pageant! I have several fetishes in life, namely those being:
1. anything foreign (no, I'm NOT knocking stuff that's "Made in the USA", but I grew up with mainly European things)
2. New Wave music (does anyone else out there still like Duran Duran & Deepeche Mode?) :)
3. black clothing (and no, this does not mean that I'm a Satanist because I prefer to dress 90% of the time in all black)
4. myths & legends from all cultures, my fave being Native American M&L (my family's Cherokee-Blackfoot)
5. my dog, Shadow, because not only is he soooo adorable, but he matches all my clothes!
(as to pet peeves, you'll have to write me for a brief listing of those)
I try to rate the reviews that I read according to how well the reviewer presented his/her opinion, which often-times results in a HR or R rating from me. The times that I do give out anything lower is if I feel that the reviewer is deliberately putting down the product, its' makers, or anyone that happens to think that the product/item/place that they're bad-mouthing is good AND if I can definitely tell that you have no idea what you're reviewing (i.e: no actual contact with said reviewed product). To me that (and blatant and/or constant use of swear words in reviews) is not necessary for a reviewer, so you'll get a SR or NR rating based on that. Personal Epinions Favorites:
Here are some of my favorite people to read on Epinions. I would love to have links attached to their names, but I can't seem to master the HTML thing, so a search is necessary. The list will occasionally change, as I like to highlight people that deserve lots of extra attention for their excellent work. Check them out....
1. Movie Reviews - Psychovant and Mike_Bracken are masters in the horror movie arena;
2. Music Reviews - Check out fm_hunter or JAPrufrock before heading to the music store;
3. Kids & Family - BeeCharmer and Smartgrl03 are sages of wisdom in this area, together they're two different views on life today;
4. Travel & Leisure - I would definitely check out the travel reviews by ifif1938 and AlexG before planning your next trip, it just could save your life (or at least your entire vacation);
5. Food & Wine - gregbnyc is the person to go to if you're looking for a great restaurant in the Big Apple, hikini's reviews are a must if you plan on stopping by the Emerald City, and if you just want to relax with an evening of wine or beer tasting then check out the spectacular reviews by Tsomes;
6. Just For Fun - hirohito99 has a warped sense of humor, but his wife daturawest keeps him on the "straight and narrow", Anne_Gwish is the resident Gothic queen of Epinions and offers a very interesting outlook on life plus she loves to wear all black (like moi)!
