About isinga
Born and raised in Calif., of pioneer stock. Among ancestors are a signer of the Declaration of Independence, the first Catholic Bishop in the USA, a scout with Kit Carson, a thirties movie star, and other equally unimportant family trivia. I've outgrown being overawed by either wealth or intelligence in other people. I have an IQ in excess of 165 and am still broke and scratching for dollars. I do, however, scratch with vigor. I love movies and books, and am continually threatened with eviction by the growing stacks of DVDs I've watched and books I've read and can't endure throwing away. People tell me I look like I'm in my late 50' or early 60's rather than irrevocably ensconced in my 70's. I blame that on their poor eyesight and my own riotous living and the rigors of war when I should have been taking care of myself. I'm not a professional critic, eager to show off my sophistication. I review on the basis of entertainment value for ME. I love appreciative comments on my reviews, so loosen up - OK. If you ever get to Lovelock, NV, I'm in the phone book and would be happy to say "Hi" and even offer a cuppa or two. 'Nuff said.
