About jamescyberjoe

I am a state civil servant. I do this as a hobby and also to vent and give my opinion on products and services that I purchase.
I also support a family of 4, a mortgage and 2 vehicles on one salary, we try to live within our means.
You will notice that I tend to review and give my opinion on cheaper low end products. It's because I have to out of neccessity. Therefore I tend to frequent the mass retailers like Walmart and Kmart and I do a huge amount of my shopping online. We are very cost conscious. We're frugal and the world would be a better place if more people were.
We are not cheap, we take the occasional vacation, go out for a nice meal now and then, we have our hobbies and activities.
I repair electronics for a living and have been doing this for years, I have my sound and video systems that I love to tinker with.
My wife keeps busy with the school and children and we are doing okay for ourselves.
I keep our cars in good working order, they are paid for and I keep our vehicles for at least 8-10 years before considering a replacement. I buy and pay cash. I keep it for the long run until the machine wears out or becomes a burden to maintain, that's the best way to get the best value out of a car. I don't lease, finance, or buy used.
We bought an older house that needed and received TLC. A good cleaning upon move in and several minor and major renovations and it's our home. Again I keep our house in good condition and clean, I make repairs as needed and upgrade/replace items as needed. New construction cannot compare because our house has withstood the test of time.
I look at it this way:
Buy or receive it used if the price is right.
Buy new if you can afford it, why skimp?
Use, reuse, recycle.
Can't use it up? Give to those who can.
You get what you pay for, buy as much quality as you can afford.
Use coupons and instore sales wherever possible and don't be ashamed about it. Don't use window shopping as an activity or you will spend needlessly on impulse.
Stay away from banks, they will drain your resources the fastest, use whatever you can get from them for free.
Use credit wisely, or you will be a slave to it. It is not free money.
That's it. This is just my opinion and outlook on life.
please remember that and if I offended anyone it is unintentional.
