Your looking at someone who's been playing video games since the Atari 2600.
I previously worked at Squaresoft, Inc. as a Quality Assurance Tester for a year and a half on titles including Brave Fencer Musashi, Parasite Eve, Final Fantasy VIII and other notable titles. Don't believe me? You can find my name in the manuals of the games or in the end credits.

Other fun work during my time at Squaresoft included work at the 1998 and 1999 Electronic Entertainment Expo's in Atlanta, Georgia and Los Angeles, California, respectively. I attended the 2000 and 2001 E3 expos as well.
Gaming has always been a pasttime and its more important to society than you know... trust me.
Some additional gaming 'experience' includes a focus test for Heavy Gear II at Activision's Santa Monica, California headquarters and multiplayer beta testing for Relic/Sierra's "Homeworld" before the game actually shipped.

I rate reviews based on the author's insight... If I see a review that's one paragraph long saying that game X was the best game you've played, with nothing more to say, you get a "Not Recommended". How is that going to help anyone make a decision about buying that game?
As for writing game reviews, I usually devote a considerable amount of time playing the game before writing anything about it, which can explain the sometimes long delay between purchasing the game and posting up a review here.
