How I rate
I try to rate fairly and leave comments when appropriate. if you have any questions about my ratings, or would like me to re-read something, feel free to e-mail me.
Most Helpful - I really don't use this. To do so would mean reading every review written on that item, and how am I to know someone won't come and write a better review tomorrow.
Very Helpful - This is only for the most excellent reviews. If I have learned absolutely everything about the product from you and have no questions, you will get this rating. Also, your writing must be clean. Just so you know, I almost never rate reviews that are all one paragraph as VH. They are too hard to read, and if you can't read them, how helpful is it really? I want to see some white space.
Helpful - This is probably the rating I use most often. If your review is not quite up to VH standards - it is missing a couple of details, or your writing has some grammar/spelling mistakes, you will most likely get this rating.
Somewhat Helpful - This is for reviews for an object that the reviewer definitely owns, but is really only writing about what he/she hates or loves about the product. So if you want to write a review and just complain about one aspect of the product, most likely you will get an SH from me. I still want to see a product desciption.
Not Helpful - If your review does not cover the product, or is just vulgar or obscene you will get this rating. I don't give an NH out very often, and I usually think long and hard about it before doing so.
