I have lived in Missouri all my life. I live near Hannibal right now, which is pretty cool because there are always lots of summer jobs. Tour guide, anyone? I worked at Rockcliffe Mansion giving tours for a while and it was really neat. Then I became a YMCA lifeguard, which qualified me for the most awesome summer job out there! Lifeguarding at the Landing water park! Now that was a blast. I love to swim. I also like to work out at the Y.
I go to New London First Baptist Church. I go to early service on Sundays because it is a contemporary worship service. More my style. I love it. Youth group is really fun because I have a chance to hang out with other Christians and have a good time without any pressure to get into trouble. Here's a little hint: Choose friends from this group. They will not mislead you. Usually. Of course, we are all entitled to our own opinion. That is just mine.
I like school, sometimes anyway. LOL. I like to stay involved in extracurricular activities. At first, I just joined clubs so that it would look good on a college application. Later I realized that kind of stuff really is a lot of fun. I mostly devote myself to FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America). I serve on Missouri's Region IV Executive Councel as Secretary. I really like it. It gives me a chance to practice my leadership skills and get ahead. The world can be a scary place and FCCLA can really give direction to young peoples' futures.
I'm really into cheerleading and dance. I cheer during football season for our boys. Go Tigers! Our squad last year went to state, which was really neat. I dance at Lyn and Camilla's Dance Studio in Hannibal. I take Jazz and Tap two nights a week. It is really fun.
I want to become a lawyer. I have ever since... I can't even remember. I'm gong to major in journalism, hopefully at Mizzou. Then I want to continue on to their law school. Maybe some day, I can be the governor of Missouri. I would really like that. Maybe I'm a dork but I like politics.
