Born on an island, to an ex-nun and a military vet, I get to claim that Tiger Woods demographic--multi-ethnic and a little bit of everything.
I graduated from the University of Hawaii about 4 years ago, and married my college sweetheart a bit later. He's all Army, a camo-to-the-marrow, patriotism-and-duty sort of fellow. We move frequently, as do all military families. We're not quite ready for children yet (I suspect we don't have the guts), but would love to have them someday.
We consider ourselves frugal (okay, cheap), and are trying to take advantage of these years to build our savings and eliminate debt. We both financed college ourselves (he with help from the military), and married without the benefit of wedding gifts. Everything we own, we've bought ourselves--and the debt is all ours, too. So product reviews are important to us, because to be alive means to be a consumer.
I love current events, reading, Consumer Reports, chess, movies, traveling, and the Internet. I carry two calculators to the grocery--one to calculate price per unit, and one to run overall tallies. We compare the price of EVERYTHING, and have been known to take Internet search printouts to the stores as a bargaining device. I'm always looking for a cheap flight home, love a good road trip, and photograph architecture like mad. I sing in the car--loudly, and badly. I dislike baby-talk to small children, rudeness in any form, and drivers who pick their nose at stoplights. Initially joined these boards looking for information on a new cell-phone service, and found the site to be so extensive that I stayed.
