About joncocco
I attended the New York Film Academy back in 1998 and initially majored in Film/Video at FDU. I have always had an appreciation for great films, music, food, art, technology, presentation, fashion, design, and more. I love animals and nature. There's just so many unnecessary films, sequels, and "fluff" out there. I look at the ability to be inventive, innovative, imaginative, original, groundbreaking, and catchy. I also enjoy many films which are not innovative or exactly groundbreaking. When reviewing something, I generally compare the product to other products in its same genre or category. I try to remain as objective as possible, and keep an open-mind to other people's viewpoints. We can often learn so many things from each other and gain fresh insight into people, places, and things, and more, if we remain open.

Some of my most favorite films (Updated 2008) include:

Airplane
American Beauty
Atonement
Austin Powers 1 and 2
Blood Diamond
Casshern
Contact
Goodfellas
Braveheart
Catch Me If You Can
City Of God
Fearless (Jet Li)
Fight Club
Gladiator
Last of the Mohicans
Lord of the Rings (trilogy)
Monty Python and The Holy Grail
Office Space
Starwars (first trilogy)
Finding Nemo
Pan's Labyrinth
Princess Mononoke
Rocky
Shawshank Redemption
Spirited Away
The Crow
The Fifth Element
The Godfather 1 and 2
The Matrix (first one)
The Notebook
The Usual Suspects
Vampire Hunter D.
