Hello, everyone! Pleasure to meet all of you! Well, for those of you who don't really know me (which is probably everyone who is reading this), my name is Josh Spaete and I was raised in the great town of Nevada, Iowa, but have moved on to Des Moines (22 miles to the south) for career reasons. I have successfully completed Master's work at Penn State University. I did my coursework entirely on the WWW and now have a degree an MGIS degree! My area of concentration is Geology and Geographic Information Systems. I received my B.S. degree in Geography/Geology from the University of Northern Iowa in Dec. 2001. I plan to do more advanced studies in Geology when I get the time.I love nature and don't waste any opportunity to explore it. My favorite places are probably Grand Teton and Rocky Mountain National Parks in Colorado and Wyoming, where I spend most of my time backpacking and camping.
Music also drives me. Among the artists that get a lot of playtime on my stereo are Dave Matthews, Stone Temple Pilots, Chicago, Coldplay, Radiohead, Collective Soul, House of Large Sizes (local band), and of course, the most underrated band of all time, Jars of Clay.
