So much has been accomplished over the last few years. Im no longer the Mad Mom in a Mini Van - I traded that in on an Intrepid and just last week traded that in on a Jeep Commander!
Im still known as JSMorris (Just Susie), but many other things have changed. I graduated from the University of Redlands (GOOOO BULLDOGS as Coach Mike would say!) with a degree in Information Systems. I worked as a computer programmer for a few years and then quit to work in my husband's general contracting business. I'm currently planning on returning to school for a teaching credential.
My oldest daughter is in her second year of college. Like so many others, she has changed her major. She started out wanting to obtain her RN and then continue her education to become a Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatrics because a high school counselor talked her out of her career of choice. She recently transferred to the Art Institute of California - San Diego to obtain a BS in Interior Design, which is what she wanted to do in the first place and decided to stop letting others talk her out of her goals and ambitions. She is currently designing her own line of furniture and is thriving!
My youngest daughter is a sohpomore in high school, and once again I'm running her to extra curricular activities! She is focusing on swimming and is currently a member of a club team about 15 miles from home. Since it will be a few more months before she gets a drivers license, I'll still be chauffer until then... Her goals are constantly changing as she meets them - she placed in CIF last year as a freshman and is hoping to place in the top three this year in backstroke. She's qualified for a couple of big meets with her club team and is hoping to soon make the time cuts for National meets.
You want to know about me? I'm still involved. Yep, give me a cause that I believe in, and I jump in with both feet! I support my daughters in their endeavors, which are many. On top of working, I'm a swim coach (yes I am once again coaching it must be in the blood!), and am involved with various school and community organizations.
Every once in a while, I can actually stop and catch my breath. That's when you can find me on Epinions. I enjoy reading and writing reviews, so this is the perfect place for me to hang out!
