About jybravo70
|
I grew up on a farm in rural Alabama, joined the Boy Scouts and enjoyed many camping and outdoor adventures, including mountain climbing in New Mexico, I achieved Eagle my last of eligibility. Played first string special teams and defense and second string offense on a state championship high school football team, and this was all just the beginning.
Spent 7 years in the Navy, 2 with Amphibious Assault forces and 5 with Physical Security and Weapons in the Amphibious fleet. I have visited every ocean accessible country in South America, 3 African countries, 3 Caribbean countries, and finally 4 Mediterranean Countries. I loved serving my country and learned a lot about world affairs while earning money for college.
Went to college in the Mid-West and finished in 3 years (thanks to college courses taken while in the Navy) getting my BS degree in Information Resources and finishing with highest honors. I worked as a LAN Administrator covering 3 offices across the state of Wisconsin. After 4 years I was in desperate need of an adventure, so I moved to China.
Moved to Shanghai in early 2006 and work in the consulting and outsourcing industry improving on my project management experience and technical abilities. Outside of work I have settled down just a little, getting married and having our first child at the beginning of 2007. My wife and I love to travel and I have seen many interesting places in China. We try to see some different city every month and our daughter seems to enjoy the change of scenery as much as we do.
I use many items in my adventures and am always on the lookout for better and more useful items. My college degree falls into the field of Information Science and Usability testing, a much underused and needed field to improve devices intuitive usefulness to the consumer.
