About kcowan
Mr. Cowan’s 35 years experience in executive management was largely with IBM Canada in executive and strategic management roles. He established his Advisory Board of the five major banks, spearheaded the introduction of the Interac® system, and also chaired IBM Corporation’s Requirements Council for their check imaging product line. After IBM, he was an executive with a technology outsourcing company for credit unions and The Co-operators insurance companies. As CEO, he managed the decision process for his 12-member (co-op) Board of Directors. He also turned the company from a $1.5 million loss to $7.5 million profit. Keith was founder of eXcape, a developer of mobile point-of-sale solutions for the vehicle fleet market. After 5 years as CEO, upon his retirement in 2002, he remains active on their Board. As President of Yorktown Technologies, Keith consults on executive decisions in retail POS, banking, career counseling and outsourced supply chain management systems. He has been retired from operational duties since August 2002 and has embraced corporate directorships, travel, photography, as well as mountain biking and hiking.
