I pretend that I'm a professional reviewer. I have a degree in English Literature. I like to make up songs on my guitar, read controversial books, tip over sacred cows, and make sketches of beautiful girls and take photos of nature. I like to go on small trips to amusement parks, nature parks, art and history museums, and beaches. I have an interest in music, movies, and books. I have decided to review mostly fun and frivolous stuff on this web site. My other reviews, mostly of books, are on amazon.com under the name "southpaw68".
Trust/Block Issues
I'm in a less generous and less trusting mood in these lean and mean, tit for tat times. I'm not generally trusting those who don't trust me anymore, with a few exceptions. I try to pick out trusties that I have something in common with (music, movies, and books) and I think that they do reviews that I will possibly actually read and take an interest in. Usually I think you do good reviews or you're funny. I don't really like the concept of the web of trust and I kind of wish it wasn't there.
I may remove some trusties if I grow tired of them, but I wouldn't take it personally. If you trust me before I trust you, (this is so petty!) I may not trust you not because I think you're a bad person, but because what you're writing only interests me marginally. I apologize beforehand for any wounded egos. It may better to let me trust you first if you are not going to trust me without ulterior motives.
You will be in danger getting blocked if I think that you have shown an inability to rate my reviews objectively and fairly due to your own biases and assumptions. Since I don't do controversy much anymore on this site, blocking people or asking advisors not to rate my stuff probably won't be a problem.
