I try to read as many opinions as I can manage; some days, this is quite a passel. My ratings are fairly consistent, and as I make my share of spelling and grammar boo-boos, I don't discount for misspellings or grammar unless they occupy a sizable fraction of the piece. And whether I agree with the author's opinion is irrelevant to my rating. I rate HR even to articles with which I strongly disagree, but which deserve HR because they were well-written and gave good information. The article is about that author's opinion, not mine. If I disagree, I can write my own.
