About kfj001
I'm a software engineer by training and trade who had served as an IS/IT consultant who also did helpdesk work, which makes me a computer geek who pretended to help people. I'm not the most avid of gamer (because I do have work to do) but I occasionally delve into a video game or two, and when I do, you can be sure I'll write about it! Taming Windows, getting beat on by UNIX, making networks, and computer programming, and anything else I feel like beating my head against is what fills my day, and most of my consumer product reviews. When I volunteered as a consumer advocate, it reminded me what bad buying decisions are like. They're not fun and we all wished that someone had told us before making a big (bad) buy. I put my experience of buying (and returning) computer equipment and software to use in my reviews about Computing and Internet resources.
