How I rate reviews
Note that I do make lots of exceptions in my review rating guidelines. So if I did not rate your review the way I stated here, then it probably fell into my long list of exceptions.
Very Helpful: Your review contained all or most of the critical details of the product needed for making an informed decision. Insightful and well structured reviews are more favorably looked upon here as well.
Helpful: Usually your review was missing a very critical component to making the review very helpful. Other times the author does their best to write a good review, but just runs out of gas.
Somewhat Helpful: I usually reserve these for people who only write a short paragraph on a product. Another type of review that fits this criteria is a review that's filled with tons of useless information and very little relevant info. Usually if you have the slightest bit of useful info, I'll give you this rating.
Not Helpful: This is given for really bad or unreadable reviews.
Off Topic: Your review contains no information on the product in question, but you said nothing to qualify for the Not Helpful rating. Also I give these if your review is in the wrong area.
Express Reviews:
Show: Contains any information or experience with the product. Think of it as a Somewhat Helpful rating or higher.
Don't Show: I give these out if it fits the description of my Not Helpful or Off Topic rating guidelines.
