I have suffered from wanderlust since my childhood. Used to lay in bed and listen to the trains outside my window and wonder where everyone was going. Got so bad I went to Argentina as an exchange student in high school. Paid for my spending money by writing reviews of my experiences for our town paper. Jamaica is absolutely my favorite place in the world (although I love Kenya). As for poverty - there are no worries if no one can take your stuff from you. Isn't that one of our deepest fears? Sometimes having nothing seems like a luxury. Travel on!
