Hi, I'm a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
I just came back from a trip to Israel (and side trip to Turkey), where I interned for Haaretz.com, the English online edition of the major Israeli daily paper. In addition, I interviewed a variety of new immigrants to compose a project on what it's like to move to Israel. It's a nation built on immigrants, more obviously so than the United States nowadays, and it's a home for Jews and even non-Jews looking to start a new life. An online storytelling project is in the works.
I do Tae Kwon Do (purple belt in the American Tae Kwon Do Association), run, juggle, and I volunteer for the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York by helping out with book sales at events and online.
I've traveled quite a bit:
Chile, Peru, Italy, Israel, Turkey, Caribbean, England, Mexico, Caribbean, Canada; California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland (I've actually had a residence of kind -- whether it be house, apartment, or bunk in over half of these locations.)
