I'm an active duty member of the United States Navy. When I'm not serving aboard a ship, I like to spend my time reading and tinkering around on my computer. I was glad to hear about this site, because now perhaps my experiences with certain things can help better prepare someone else.
For all the rest of you "opinionated" people, aren't you glad you no longer have to hear that degrading statement, "Keep your opinions to yourself" ?

To give you some idea how I rate reviews
Highly Recommend -- The review has to answer the basic questions of Who, What, When, Where, Why and How. If you liked a product, tell me why you liked it and why I would probably want it myself. The same holds true if you disliked a product. Tell me why you disliked it and advise me as to why I would also want to avoid it. Also, tell me the pros and cons of the product.
Not as important as the previously mentioned criteria, but still taken into account are the following: I don't detract from reviews for typos or simple grammatical errors, however, run-on sentences, long reviews without at least a couple of paragraph breaks and reviews that meander around without making a point I WILL detract from.
Recommend -- Not quite meeting the criteria for Highly Recommend, but the review has merit and would be helpful to others, it would fit into this category.
Somewhat Recommend -- The review may do a good job of convincing me you like or dislike a product, but doesn't really provide me much as far as what you based your opinion on. Statements such as "I really like/hate this product, you would do well to/not to buy this" without anything to substantiate WHY you feel that way, fit into this category.
Not Recommend -- If you obviously plagiarized another review, repeat the same statements over and over to meet the 100 word minimum, go off-topic, the epinion represents a biased, bigotted or racist attitude or is offensive/abusive to others, it will fit into this category.
