If you're wondering about some rating I gave you, please read this before you begin emailing me on a tirade.
I take my Web of Trust seriously. If you are on my list, it means that I have been impressed with what I've read by you. I probably admire your style, your wit, your candor, your ability to fly in the face of convention, or all of the above. I have managed to keep my WOT pretty small. I try to go back through the list every few weeks to read as many new reviews as possible and root out members that have been inactive. I do that so that I can keep the web manageable and make room to add active members. If you used to be on my trust list but were removed because of inactivity, let me know and I'll add you again.
Anyway, here's me in a nutshell (where I certainly belong). I was born in Detroit, but I grew up in Hawaii. I recently graduated from Georgetown University in DC with double majors in History and Government. I am a nerd, and I am okay with that. Cower before the might of my omnipresent dictionary and convoluted phrasing encouraged by American academia!
After college, I did what any rational individual would do - run off to become a High School teacher in an inner-city school with Teach for America. The only problem was that I got sick. Really sick. In fact, that's why I vanished for a couple of months there.
I've left teaching now. Now, I am planning on finding a job to cover my rent and expenses for the next few months, and then returning to school and becoming a veterinarian.
Oh yeah. I'm an animal person. I have a whole mess of them, and they're my assistant reviewers for the Pet category. I'll admit to speaking to them and of them as if they were rational beings, but I refuse to get all baby-talkish with them. Hell, I don't even babytalk to human babies. I have two cats named Jamie and Benjamin, two rats named Merry and Pippin, a mess of mice (adopted a pregnant mouse-- oy), and some tropical fish.

Benjamin and Jamie, in a rare cuddlesome moment
... and last but not least,
ib. R.I.P., little pocket diver. :(
A Sampling of My Reviews and Essays
I'd like to get all my reviews linked up here one day. For now, here are some categories. The further down each list the review, the older the review is. Some of the older ones aren't so great. I'll rewrite them one of these days. Consider yourself warned! :P
I always knew I was a Goddess!
See which Greek Goddess you are.
... and a villain.
What Type of Villain are You?
He prayeth best who loveth best
All things both great and small,
For the dear God who loveth us
He made and loveth all.
~ Samuel Taylor Coleridge
