By day I am an elementary ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teacher. Part of the reason I was drawn to this career is my love of all things foreign (language, foods, art, music, etc.). Also, because of this, I'm always on the lookout for things that will help me in the classroom either directly or indirectly to better relate to and understand my culturally diverse students.
By night, I'm an internet junky, so Epinions has fit in nicely. When I'm not glued to the keyboard, I enjoy doing artwork (mostly painting and collage), learning Spanish, cooking, eating, watching movies and enjoying this time on earth with my wonderful husband.
Thanks again for stopping by.
I wish you:

"I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration; I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person humanized or de-humanized. If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming." --- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 - 1832)
