About LLFigment

Ok, where to start? Perhaps with the basics: happily married (to OpalMan), three adorable kitties; currently working for a major market research firm onsite at a major consumer packaged goods company (mostly known for confections).

  • Me in the working world:
    • 10 years in the retail furniture industry (8 in customer service, 2 in inventory control)
    • Golf industry (2 years), where I learned more about golf club manufacturing than I ever cared to. I created custom logos for clubs and golf balls and also did other graphic design work
    • I then had experience being unemployed (laid off)
    • Arts & Crafts retail (1 year)
    • Temporary jobs at two major car companies for about 6 months
    • Pharmaceuticals industry (1 year) where I learned not only about health & beauty products, but also the power of Microsoft Access. The knowledge & skills I picked up there allowed me to move into my present position.

So now all that just looks like a resume, right? There's more to me than just that.

For instance, I LOVE hockey. Strange for a Southern California girl, but it's OPALMAN's fault. But hey, where else in the sporting world can you combine grace, raw aggression, class and gentlemanly conduct, and a beautiful silver cup that each member of the team gets to take home for a day when they win it?? Talk about classy...what other sporting teams shake hands with the team that has been their mortal enemy for 7 games---whether they've won or lost?

In addition to hockey, I love music. Different types, really, but classical tops my list, followed by classic rock and---of course---Disney.
