About LLindaC

Traveling is my passion. My first airplane trip was to New York when I was 13. I was hooked! After my junior year, I spent 3 months in Europe, mainly France, studying and touring. I graduated early and went to college unprepared. I quickly dropped out and pursued a career in music. I play piano by ear and started when I was 5. At 17, I played keyboards in a traveling band.I joined a local band a year later which was quite successful. After 7 years, I quit the band and went back to college at Univ of Louisville, where I received a degree in Biology. I played solo gigs to support myself. I still play music, only now my husband frequently sings harmony with me. I play a Yamaha Tyros keyboard as well as piano. Most of my work is conventions, parties, weddings and country clubs.
I've also been an athlete for years, first as an equestrian, later a runner, then triathlete. My knees give me a bit of trouble, so I mainly bike and use the elliptical in the basement. I love my LeMond road bike.
I have 2 girls from a previous marriage. My husband and I have been married for 4 years and in the 9 years we've been together have traveled the world making up for lost time! We love wine and have visited wine areas in CA three times, upstate New York and the wine country of South Africa. We also attend wine and food events nationally. We especially love Mendocino, CA and Healdsburg in Sonoma Co. We cruise 2-3 times a year as well. We just returned from a trip to Banff and are currently planning a trip to New York, followed by a trip to Switzerland.
As a writer for epinions, I believe my strengths are in the areas of fitness, health, food, wine, music and travel. I claim no expertise in parenting!
