My history:
An over active youth turned activist for pro-job industries. I push for strong individualism and personal responsibility. I push for minimal Government programs and believe in the maintenance of the proven ones.
I've played:
The BB Flat Tuba, Trumbone, Baritone, Sousaphone, Trumpet, and Marching/Concert Snare. If my fingers were not so suited to the nosegaurd positions and College offensive line positions I played, I could play the guitar.
I've built:
71 Challenger, 70 Cuda, 74 Charger, and two 67 Mustangs. A 82 Cobra mustang and helped a buddy of mine get his Chevy Silverado back on the road, and another get his Yenko Camaro started. As American as I am, 91 Maxima is my favorite car. (As a kid my pop's racing team had a Shelby Cobra named 'Jake the Snake'...the real deal).
I did the custom stereo fitting of the early nineties, had 4 12 inchers in a sub-compact and Phosgate amps. I took Wenge wood and made a good friend a 100 cigar humidore, (properly lined with Spanish cedar and two elements for perfect humidity). Built my own furniture, and was crazy enough to build my own house, (no kidding...went to the hospital for injuries twice). Built several sets of golf clubs, enjoy the game very much. With my dad a 1978 Suzuki RM 100 for racing, I couldn't keep up with my big brothers 78 Elsinore 250, but it was enough for me. Other things I'll save your eyes on, but they give my opinions great credence.
I've worked:
Mowed Grass, cleaned pools, washed golf carts, picked up golf balls (got hit in the head twice), deck hand on a shrimp boat, steamed carpets, mortgage foreclosings, Car salesman, pursor on a gambling cruise ship, barback, Craps dealer, cleaned destruction zones, roofed industrial buildings, poured slabs, bus-boy, grocery stock boy, meat department flunkie, had my own Car detailing biz that operated in the customers driveway, hardcount/softcount, and the worst job I ever had...telemarketer at a newspaper (for one day..don't hate me I hated myself for that three hour tour). I receive my BS Accounting degree and now responsible for managing things...I don't know how I've managed to do that.
I can cook:
The meanest Carrot Cake you'll ever try..from scratch. Ribs with my own vinegar sauce, Steaks with my own blue-cheese/crabmeat vinegarette topping, Salmon filet's, Gumbo of any kind (I'm from Baton Rouge...enough said), and Crawfish/shrimp/crabs that you won't regret eating the next day!
Favorite pass-times?
I read Tom Robbins books, play golf, take the Tidecraft out to the river, Target/Skeet shooting, fishing, and for a guy I'll admit cruising the mall for sales in Kitchen, Home and Garden, Clothes, and Golf Equipment relaxes me, but the best is sitting in my dads garage talking about anything with the mentor of a lifetime...my dad.
Now what do you have to talk about?
Consistent, consistent, consistent...These are the keys that will prevent you from being lambasted by me. I will read all of your reviews and if a hint of favoritism or slanted brand loyalty exists...well, you loose.
Oh, its ok to be brand loyal, I know I am. But, Epinions means to me that the uninformed consumer can read honest everyday opinions on items. These opinions should not mimic the over commercialized magazine articles that are obviously slanted in favor of advertisement dollars spent!
What I distrust?
1. If you spend too much time hammering company profiles instead of focusing on practical points.
2. If you are inconsistent in the items you focus on from review to review, (comparing apples to oranges).
3. If you fail to focus on the products intended use and how it does what it was designed or intended to do. And if you fail to realize the products market place, don't expect to impress me.
4. If you leave out items that the uninformed consumer wants to know, (i.e. 'terrible gas mileage'...at what average speed? or 'it burns everything you try to cook'..how high do you set the dials?)
5. Fluff...if you use too many words to simply say whatever, get to the point.
I like hammering, and I don't mind being hammered, its all part of the free enterprise system of this great American land we (or I) live in.
