Standing on the doormat of the 21st century, I see a world of adventure waiting to swallow me whole, but wish that the people of this planet would unite to do what is right, instead of what is correct.
I see members of the populace fighting to save the "Spotted Blue Tailed Butterfly" while their fellow man sleeps next to garbage cans that they eat from. The societal norm that the world follows today is socially incorrect.
While the loss of a species is disheartening, the loss of civility by our society is even more so. Many of you may never experience the shame of digging through trash for your meals. Most of you will never know what it is like to sleep on a sidewalk under a 20 watt lightbulb for warmth.
The time has come for humanity to show itself again in a manner becoming of the new millennium. Reach deep into your heart and help the people of our planet before you worry about butterflies and little green frogs.
