Growth occurs, maturity occurs, and change is inevitable. Consistently I have to rework the understanding of the person I know myself to be in order to accommodate for the change in my own taste be it musical or otherwise. Being sensitive to new styles and my reaction to them in the context of my past preference forces me to understand anything and mostly everything about myself. This is all encapsulated in my love of music and love of language. This is why I write my reviews, this is why I read your reviews.
You will notice that many times I rate a review favorably and recommend it. No I don't like everything, but I find it difficult to talk about anything that doesn't appeal to me emotionally. So therefore any review of mine that IS unfavorable is due to the magnitude of my disappointment in the project, work, or artist (the only artist I consistently expect anything from is Stevie anyway, did you notice?) Simply not liking it usually fails to stir up any emotion at all, and hence the topic is avoided.
That's what it's all about I guess, feeling something. Anyway any suggestions or pressing needs to let me know you love or hate (or are simply not liking... hee hee) my reviews are welcome.
