I'm a thirty-(mumble) year old ex-teacher, now artist, who gave birth to THE most beautiful and sweet little girl in all the land, in March 2000. I am now a normal-looking, Gap jeans wearing bore who, as a teenager, used to hate normal, yuppie losers telling me that they "used to be Goth" or they "used to dress like me." Even worse was when they listened to my music but looked like today's Hootie fans...Well, I USED to dress Goth But I must say that I did it before "Snot Topics," and when my male friends were getting the snot beaten out of them for carrying the lunch boxes that these whippersnappers take for granted nowadays. I have eclectic tastes in just about everything (or I'm schizo), especially music, ranging from Skinny Puppy to Squirrel Nut Zippers to Led Zeppelin. No Hootie, though!
The people on my WOT are people who write, what I believe, to be the cream of the crop of Epinion reviews. All of them make a wonderful contribution to Epinions with their writing and knowledge. Most of them are humorous; all of them are interesting, and this is evident in their pieces. Because I so highly regard these people, I am selective in the people I trust to go up along side of them; I will not trust only because I am trusted, nor will I skip by someone because they haven't indicated that they trust me. It is also because of the folks on my WOT that I am picky about "Highly Recommended"--not in spelling or because I agree, but in content and knowledge of what is being reviewed, and in the ability of the author to not just tell me about what s/he is writing about but to paint a picture with words: possibly with personal anectdotes, at least with passion (whether it's positive or negative passion).
I will never rate a reviewer less than I honestly believe that he or she should be rated, whether that person gave me an HR or an NR--I don't retaliate (or automatically reciprocate), but I do ask that if you give me an SR or NR, let me know why in the comment box--if you're constructive with your criticism, I may not always agree, but I will respect and consider what you have to say.
