I'm between my junior and senior years in college, and currently working at Electronic Arts as a features programmer for pogo.com. I've got a huge backlog of albums I've been wanting to review, and now that I'm off from school, maybe I'll finally find the time to write some of them.
I mostly review music, and my rating scale tends to run a little high, so I shell out a lot of four and five star reviews. But that's only because I love music so much, and I rarely review anything I don't like unless I think it really deserves it.
I'm also in a band of my own, as you can see from my picture. We're called Sunderance, and although we don't even have a myspace page yet, we are on YouTube! Go ahead, search for "Sunderance Carnival" on YouTube, and see what comes up. I'm the guy doing the fingertapping solo on our cover of "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Metallica.
How I write my reviews: generally, most of my reviews are written at work. At any given moment, I have somewhere around 2-3 reviews in progress that are saved in word documents, and whenever things are going slow, or I'm waiting for something to compile, or I just don't feel like coding at the moment, I'll open one up and add a few sentences. Every once in a while, one of my reviews will get to be long enough that it's publishable.
