About mantis
I'm a twenty-eight-year-old grad student in entomology at the University of California, Riverside. I'm not very active on Epinions any more, but I still read and comment occasionally, particularly on the reviews of my friends Mangiotto and Jaderabbit. If you like movies or anime (their respective specialties), and haven't read any of their reviews, stop wasting your time with mine and get going; you have a treat in store. If you're already familiar with Walter and Laura's work, then check out my paean to "Babylon 5," or snicker over my vivisection of Walter E. Adams's execrable little book "The Rapist." Let me introduce you to the gorgeous animation of Hayao Miyazaki, and Catherine Asaro's clever hard science fiction romance novels. If you like what you see, leave me a comment. I promise I'll reply, and if I get a bit of encouragement, perhaps I'll start reviewing again.
