About Margaret1220

Well as of yesterday 12/20 I turned 51, I have a nice apartment in Catonsville that I share with my husband of 24 years, a daughter 18 and our cat who is 9. After my husband lost his job in 2005, we sold our home, but lost everything. We were homeless living in our car or hotels. In October 2007, I ended up in the Hospital with zero oxygen in my blood, due to congestive heart failure and pnuemonia, I spent three days in CCU, I do not even remember, but spent a total of 7 days in the Hospital. The Doctor said I would not survive the winter on the streets. With help from a friend we moved into this apartment. My husband has been working for Fed Ex and delivering pizza's.
I am terminal with breast and lung cancer, besides a heart murmur I have had for years, my heart is now enlarged and arteries are clogged, damage to valves and they say it is so bad that I may not make it to next year. I have no energy and I have trouble breathing, which I thought was due to my emphysema or asthma.
I keep going until the Good Lord says it is time and only he can call me home.
My oldest son is a volunteer fireman and a truck driver, he is taking tests for the County Fire Dept. He wants to follow in my Dad's footsteps, my Dad was a Baltimore City Fireman for 35 years as well as several Uncles and friends.
My son has three boys ages 6, 4 and 1.
My daughter 22, is a CNA at a local hospital, she has been there for four years. She is attending college to become a registered Nurse. She is single. And
my 18 almost 19 year old daughter is going to Cosmetology School in January.
I tell my children how sorry I am for the fact that were ended up homeless, my husband just would not look for work, he said he wanted to be with me, he worked part time here an there. I had places to live, but I would not leave my husband. I am on Social Security Disability, about $400 a month, so we had a small income.
Our daughter's lived with my son and I provided them with groceries and spending money.
No matter what my children always come first. WHen we had a yearly income of over $200,000 our kids had everything and when we lost it all and had nothing, it upset our children. but my oldest daughter said, Mom you say everything happens for a reason and so it helped me grow up and learn to take care of myself. She helped us when we needed it and we moved in with her for a few months when she got her own apartment.
Now, I have a home and my children are happy and we live day to day.
I certainly missed epinions and I am glad to be back. Not being able to get to a computer I lost out on collecting my eroyalties which would have helped. Hopefully I be around long enough to collect at least one more check. Ha Ha!!
How about them Ravens!!!
