So, apart from quoting advice on over confidence in regard to enchanted items of clothing, what else do you do?

Read, a lot - I recently discovered the invention of the second-hand book shop and have been busily overloading my shelves with out of print books.

Other stuff I like: science-fiction, Bob Dylan, Tolkien, history (books, museums, getting lost in castles etc), Blackadder, canoeing, ski-ing (but after last experience in snowstorm am slightly terrified of going up a mountain again)

And pancakes.

Things I don't like: burnt toast mainly.
