I am a sophomore at Davidson College in NC. It's one of the best private schools in America but have you ever heard of it? Check it out in the Princeton Review. We were recently ranked as the school with the largest work load.
I am currently working towards my degree in Neuroscience and plan on being a neurosurgeon.
I just received a grant from the National Institute of Health for 25,000 dollars to continue neuroscience research for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease!!! Unfortunately it involves performing brain surgeries on rats but it's for a good cause
Right now I am heavily involved with community service. This summer I was with the Americorp program and served as a day camp counselor for the Davidson NC parks and recreation department. I love working with kids so it was a great fit this summer. During the school year I replace my work study with community service as well. I am a counselor/coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club. I also enjoy music and sports and just recently reading.
