Some things most people don't know...
The large animal organizations that ask you to donate don't need your money. And they kill animals they don't deem worthy.
HSUS (Humane Society USA) PETA, and ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) have MILLIONS of dollars. All three don't think feral cats are worth saving and recommend killing them. All three are against pitbulls and feral cats.
The top dog and cat food brands you see sponsoring events on Animal Planet like Science Diet, Iams, Purina, and Friskies are NOT much better than the cheap Walmart brands, no matter what the package says. They are full of by-products not for for humans and fillers and chemicals that aren't healthy for pets. It makes the food less expensive to produce. it is the equivalent of parents feeding their human children Twinkies for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I am new to Epinions, but it looks like highly rated reviewers can write reviews that aren't that great, and people still rate them highly...If you give someone a low rating, they can give give you a low one as well. Which doesn't seem like the best system!
It also seems that positive reviews get better ratings, and any time you mention a general personal preference over all, the review will be rated less helpful.
