About MG_Williams
I am a mother of one wonderful son and wife to a great husband (well, most of the time). We are planning on a second soon!

I enjoy travel (though that doesn't happen too often), being a kid again (with my son), gymnastics (watching not participating--I don't have a death wish) and learning about educating my son at home.

Our family is moving towards a home-based education for him for so many reasons. We were not happy with his preschool last year because everything was so lassez-faire---it made me open my eyes to the fact that my husband and I will ALWAYS act in the best interest of our son, he will never get lost or overlooked or treated in a way that can be detrimental (children develop in stages but their progress depends mainly on HOW they are treated) and the most wonderful reason we will always remain close to him because not only are we his parents but we are his teachers!

I am beginning this year with a preschool curriculum that I have created from many resources to get all of our feet wet for his kindergarten year. If you are a home-based educator and have any pointers, ideas or just some wonderful stories let me know --- I am new to it! By the way if anyone out there has successful ideas on teaching foreign languages to the younger child let me know---not a lot out there which is mind boggling with all the research that has been done on retention when foreign language is introduced! The younger the better.
