About michealhead
I'm not much for talking about myself; my life, well, some good spots, some bad. I love good fiction, and not at all afraid of what I read or view becoming a little esoteric, I rather think it adds a spice to the mix.

Now, a bit about ratings, and somesuch:

(1) Being in my Web of Trust - isn't necessarily going to guarantee ratings of your reviews. Sorry, but I do notice both talent and those who consistantly rate my work, both will cause me to reciprocate accordingly. I come back to the site virtually every day, so to those who are with me, and give support; your work will be noticed, and rated. That is, of course dependent upon whether the site is functioning...

(2) In regards to reviews about products directly related to feminine concerns (i.e. cosmetics, haircare, etc.), these are passed along to my wife for her perusal, and rating. Sorry, but I'm obviously not a consumer of these items and summarily know precious little about them. I feel that this system allows those who make the effort on these legitimate products to be rewarded for their work. I do read reviews of children's toys, games and books, often in the spirit of finding out what my nieces and nephews might find good as birthday and Christmas gifts.

(3) I'm not overly obsessive about spelling and grammar, I'd rather a person hit their point rather than attempt to be anal-retentive about where to place that punctuation mark. Life is too short to be upset about a mislaid colon, unless it's part of your digestive system.

(4) I know it's been said elsewhere at this site, but please bear in mind: Difference in tastes doesn't mean one soul is necessarily better than others. Remember, what is posted here at the site is an OPINION; nothing more. Nothing will cause me to lose faith in a person faster than some childish retort as a response to a perceived insult to one's ego. Please take whatever measures necessary to thicken your skin, else you won't be having much fun here at the site. I will ask those in my WOT to report when someone has crossed the line, so I may discourage them here.

(5) With rare exception, I don't mind any subject matter. After all, I've traveled extensively, and have seen many things which smaller minds would label obscene. If you are looking for someone with a slightly more open mind, c'mon in. A caution however: attacking of other Epinion members, or excessive profanity are things I don't dig.

I'm not sure who said it, (and would appreciate any who might be able to tell me from whence this quote came):

"In freedom, we cannot remain civil by limiting what ideas we will discuss; we must remain civil in how we shall discuss them."

There, easy enough to understand.

With that, onward

Into everyone's life a little rain must fall...Would someone please fix the dammed hole in the roof?
