About mikeyinaz
Translation from the top - "Our walls are broken, but not our hearts". This graffiti was seen on ruined walls after Hamburg, Germany experienced a week-long bombing in 1943. The resulting firestorm caused damage which could only be compared to a major earthquake. The sentiment seems appropriate now, no matter which language is used to express it. It says quite a bit about the resilience and determination of the human spirit as well. About Moi: I was born in Alabama, raised in the Pacific Northwest, currently living in Arizona. My Dad's jobs took us overseas for two years, where we set up housekeeping in Bangkok, Thailand. Military service took me overseas again, doing a tour of duty at Peshawar Air Station in Pakistan. Traveled through the Far East, India, Western Europe and about one half of the 50 States. Now perfectly content to call the good old USA Home Sweet Home. I currently write articles about military history for web sites on the topic. I'm putting together a portfolio of computer colorized photos of Civil War Officers.
