I've been here at Epinions for eleven years now, and I can't imagine my life without Epinions! I've been an Advisor and Top Reviewer in Wellness/Beauty since October 2002 and a Message Board Moderator in Wellness/Beauty since July 2004 and am proud to wear these hats!
OK..as many of you know, I live and breathe beauty products.....makeup, skincare, bath & body...you name it! Those of us with no kids have our own priorities....and mine are beauty products and skincare. And our dog. And Fleetwood Mac. :)
As for the personal stuff, I'm 45, live in N.E. Ohio with my wonderful boyfriend of almost 13 years and work as a Compensation & Benefits Specialist for a privately-held company. I'm one of the few women who is in her 40's and has no kids (by choice!).
My boyfriend and I bought our first (and hopefully last - I love this place!) house in July of 2005. We are always in the process of some type of home improvement! We are currently in the planning stages of a complete kitchen and bathroom overhaul. We have an 8-year old Boston Terrier named Baxter who is like a child to us, and two cats, Domino (7) and Halo (5).
As I stated above, I am a MAJOR beauty product addict. Some of my disposable income goes toward beauty products (cosmetics, skincare, etc.), but not nearly as much as I used to spend. 99.9% of my reviews are on beauty products because they are my true passion. However, I do enjoy writing reviews on the tons of pet products we buy each year, as well as reviews in other categories of Epinions.
I'm a wacked-out Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks fan. I've been a Fleetwood Mac fan since I was 7 years old and have seen them (as well as Stevie solo) in concert MANY times. The Mac (and Stevie by herself) have given us a lot of new stuff over the past 15
years, which has been wonderful because they are definitely near the end of their career. As long as they're doing something either solo or as a group, I'm happy! We had the pleasure of seeing Lindsey Buckingham solo in October 2006 from the 5th row...he's amazing!
I'm a serious 70's music fan. My iPod does NOT hold much 80's music even though those were my "glory days" when I was young and carefree. In addition to tons of the Mac and Stevie, my iPod has mainly 70's music on it.
My other hobbies include gardening, home improvements, reading, movies and TV. I love reality TV and soap operas! I also am addicted to several games that I play on our iPad and my iPhone.
I'm also a major Howard Stern fan! I love listening to him on Sirius/XM! I've been listening to him for 20 years now and try to never miss him in the morning...but I love that the show repeats throughout the day and night and I can catch some of what I missed on the way home in the evening!
