About motioncapture
|
|
I've been doing motion capture for over ten years. I first headed up the Dynamix and Sierra On-line motion capture departments, and then later owned my own company, Elemental Motion where I offered motion capture services in the Pacific Northwest. During this time, I was a key component in the installation of Sony's motion capture system used on Monster House, and optimized the Seattle Veterans Hospital's gait analysis lab. I later became a member of Electronic Arts' Motion Capture team, where I gained key skills to deal with the largest constant throughput of mocap data in the game and movie industry. I'm now working at an excellent game company ion the Pacific Northwest, heading up their mocap studio. To date, I've worked on over fifteen game titles as an artist and animator.
Regarding Products
I am of the school of buying the best tool and having it last, instead of buying a cheap tool and replacing it every year or two. In other words, I am always in search of quality.
Vicon Motion Capture systems, Adobe software, Bogen/Manfrotto tripods, M Graham Paints, Craftsman wrenches, Zippo lighters, Victor gas welding equipment, Martin guitars, Paashce airbrushes... these are how all things should be built.
Having said that, I don't like spend any more than I have to to get the best product for my needs.
I hope you find my reviews helpful, thanks!
