Most importantly, mom to three children. Nathan is 10 and in the gifted and talented program at his school. Justin is 9 and is a survivor of childhood cancer (leukemia, diagnosed when he was 3 1/2). Sarah (4) is the unexpected gift who helped to heal my broken heart and keeps us all laughing. She has been (appropriately) nicknamed "Baby Destructo" by her brothers.
I am finding that they are all growing up way too quickly.
I've done a little bit of everything--am a military veteran (army), have held positions as: a licensed home child-care provider, a customer service representative for a large department store, a 911/radio operator for the California Highway Patrol, a full time college student (with three children), earning my degree in Criminal Justice and now...
I work as a teacher's assistant at a charter school for at-risk children. Always challenging, sometimes exhausting but NEVER boring!!!
Other than being a mother, I have never found my one true "calling" Ah well, as long as I can be proud of that area, all the rest is trivial!
