About netbob30
I am 71 but, as my physician said, "embarrassingly healthy". I am married, have 6 children, 3 step-children, grandchildren, and have worked at nearly every job you can think of - auto mechanic, mason, electrician, contractor, etc., computer science, and with that many children have fixed everything you can think of - and more. We live 6 months in New Zealand and 6 months in the mountains of North Carolina (guess which 6). I grew up in Vermont in a conservative family "waste not - want not". Getting the most value for the money was part of my upbringing. Having had much bad advice when younger, I became an early subscriber to Consumer Reports. However, I learned early on that you had better ask some plumbers when buying a garbage disposal, not Consumer Reports. ("Yeah CS is right, that one hardly ever jams, but when it does it'll be $200 to fix. This one jams some but comes with a wrench to unjam it, so you'll never see me." I bought the plumber's recommendation, my neighbor bought the CS recommendation. Both CS and the plumber were correct.) Before buying anything I now read CS AND Epinions since epinions has the actual experiences of users. I have found this so valuable that I have decided to pass along what knowledge I have of products I buy and hope this helps others. My thanks to all those who take the time to write a review.
